The Indian Navy started the registration for Agnipath recruitment scheme on 1 July. According to Indian Navy officials, 20 per cent of the candidates in the first batch of Agniveers for the Agnipath Recruitment Scheme will be women. “20% of candidates will be women to form the first batch of Agniveers for the Agnipath recruitment scheme. They would be sent to different parts and branches of the Navy”.

Educational Qualification: Passed in 10+2 examination with Mathematics and Physics and at least one of these subjects:- Chemistry/Biology/Computer Science from a Board of School Education recognized by the Ministry of Education, Government of India.
Vacancies: Agniveer SSR (Unmarried Male & Female) Total: 2800 Posts.
Salary: Firefighters will be paid a package of Rs 30,000/- per month with a fixed annual increment. In addition, risk and hardship, dress and traveling allowance will be paid.
Age Limit: Age Candidates should be born between 1st November 1999 to 30th April 2005 (both dates inclusive).
