List of Government Internship for July 2023:

Internship at NITI Aayog:

  • Undergraduate/postgraduate students or research scholars enrolled in recognized universities/institutions in India and abroad can apply for the NITI Aayog Internship Scheme. They will work closely with NITI’s verticals/divisions/cells.

Internship at TCPO:

  • TCPO now announces an Internship Policy to engage students pursuing under-graduate/graduate/ post-graduate degrees or research scholars enrolled in recognized University/Institution within India or abroad, as Interns. The Internship is designed to provide exposure to professional activities in various Divisions within TCPO and impart skills & hands-on experience to students.
  • Students who apply for internships, on selection, are placed in various Divisions of TCPO, where they report to an officer who will be their Advisor/Mentor during the six to eight weeks of their internship. Attendance is maintained. At the end of the internship period, interns are required to submit a report and are awarded a certificate.

Internship at Ministry of women and Child Development:

The objective of ‘Internship Programme’ is to translate Hon’ble PM’s idea of “SABKA SATH, SABKA VIKAAS, SABKA VISHWAAS, SABKA PRAYAAS” for building selfreliant India.

Eligibility:

Women students, scholars, social activists and teachers from non-tier-I cities and rural parts of India will be eligible for the program. The women students, scholars, social activists, teachers (herein after referred to as interns) need to be enrolled in/associated with any university/academic/non-academic institution.

Duration: The Internship Programme will be available for the duration of two months throughout the year.

Benefits:

Each intern would be provided a lump sum stipend of Rs. 20,000/- per month and reimbursement of travel cost (by Deluxe/AC Bus/3 Tier AC Train) for joining of the Programme in the Ministry and return back to home at the end of the Programme. Interns proceeding on tour as part of the Programme would be reimbursed travel cost (by Deluxe/AC Bus/3 Tier AC Train) and DA as per extant GOI rates. The interns would also be awarded a certificate on successful completion of the Programme.

How to Apply?

Prospective interns are required to submit their applications online on the Internship Programme portal www.wcd.intern.nic.in. The applications can be submitted between 1st and 10th of every month.

The National Commission for Women has been set up in terms of the National Commission for Women Act, 1990 (Act No. 20 of 1990) to further review the Constitutional and Legal safeguards available to women, recommend remedial measures to remove impediments in realizing such goals, facilitate redressal of grievances and advise the Government on all policy matters affecting women. The Commission also organises workshops/consultations, constitutes expert committees, undertake studies/make recommendations for economic empowerment of women, conducts workshops/seminars for gender awareness and takes up publicity campaign awareness in the society against such social evils.

Scheme A: Unpaid Internship for a period not less than 30 days for 1st year students of 3 year LLB Course or 3rd year student of 5 year LLB Course OR 1st year student of Post Graduate in Sociology/Social Work.

Scheme B: Paid Internship for a period of 60 days.

Internship at Chief Minister Youth Program(Batch 2):

Internship at Department of Justice:

Department of Justice (DoJ) organizes Internship Programme for young law students for doing internship. The purpose of this Programme is to well acquaint young law students with the working of Department of Justice by giving training in the field of research & referencing work.

Indian students who have completed 2nd year of study and have written the examination to enter 3rd year or studying in the 3rd year of three-year degree course or the students studying in the 4th year who have written examination to enter 5th year or studying in the 5th year of five-year degree course.

Internship at Work Based Learning (Nielet):

Objective:

The main objective of this programme is to provide an opportunity to SC/ST/EWS/Women Candidates to acquire Technical Skills in Emerging Technologies that make them industry-ready in the field of Technical Knowledge Expansion; Real-time Working Skills; Technology use; Problem Solving skills; Reasoning; Ideation; Analytical Thinking; Interpersonal Skills, etc. in a professional work environment. The selected candidates are mentored by the Scientists and experts at NIELIT Bhubaneswar.

Advantages:

The interns would gain rich experience by working in various NIELIT projects being executed at the State level and/or National Level. The programme would also aim to achieve the following objectives:

  • To facilitate SC/ST/EWS/Women Candidates for the transition from the College environment to the Corporate World.
  • To provide direct practical experience and exposure to Fresh Graduates Engineers on Emerging Technologies & Future Skills.
  • To help candidates attain stability & making sync between theoretical studies and realistic job exposure through hands-on expertise in Design/Development Skills.
  • To enhance professional skills among the candidates in various areas.

WBL Programme:

WBL candidates would undergo professional learning under the guidance of allocated Supervisor at NIELIT Bhubaneswar. The candidates would be reviewed midway and at the end of 6 months by the Technical Monitoring and Evaluation Committee and accordingly

(a) certified for Level-1 and
(b) recommended for selection for Level-2 WBL (6-months). Subsequent to completion of Level-2, the candidate would be certified for Level-2 WBL.

WBL candidates would undergo learning in one of the following technologies:

Remuneration/Stipend:

Candidates undergoing Work Based Learning (WBL) programmes would be issued monthly stipend/remuneration by implementing organization, subject to a maximum of Rs. 10,000/- (per month per candidate) inclusive of all charges. In addition, provisions would also be there for 50% candidates to be recommended for continuation in Level-02 (6 months) WBL (based on conditions of attendance and performance).

Who can Apply?

Only SC/ST/EWS/Women Candidates:

  • Passed out B.E./B.Tech. or equivalent M.Sc. /M.C.A. in last 2 years.
  • Pursuing B.E./B.Tech. 7th/8th Semester (Must Submit NOC from College before Interview).

Admission Guidelines:

Admissions to the WBL programmes are made twice a year in July and January based on rank in test/interview conducted by NIELIT Bhubaneswar. The minimum academic qualification for admission is a pass in the final examination of B.E/B.Tech/MCA/M.Sc or its equivalent with at least 50% marks in aggregate, conducted by a recognized University or Candidates in 7th /8th Semester (Only SC/ST/Women/EWS candidates).

Department for Promotion of Industry an,d Internal Trade (DPIIT), Ministry of Commerce & Industry has introduced internship scheme for the students pursuing Under Graduate/Post Graduate degree or are Research Scholars enrolled in recognized University/Institution within India or abroad. Such students should be willing to have an exposure to the preparation of P E Survey, finalization of MoU signed between the CPSEs and GOI annually, restructuring of sick & loss making CPSEs and other functions of the Department of Public Enterprises.

Duration: Duration of Internship will be for a maximum period of six months at a time.

Stipend: A token remuneration @Rs.10000/-per month will be payable to each Intern.

Interested and eligible candidates are invited to submit applications for various positions in Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs, purely on contractual basis.

The engagement will purely be on contractual basis initially for a period of one year, if otherwise not extended or curtailed. However, during initial three months, the performance of the candidate will be reviewed and the engagement shall further be continued to one year,subject to satisfactory performance.

Indian Patent Office is inviting applications for the IPR internship. The Union Cabinet approved the National Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) Policy on 12th May, 2016 that lays the future roadmap for IPRs in India.

Responsibility of the Intern: Interns will be given assignments on the emerging issues in patents and will be required to submit a research paper at the end of the internship program.

Internship at DGFT:

Directorate General of Foreign Trade has internship programme which is continuing since long. The internship programme in this directorate is for interaction of the officers of the Directorate with the young scholars and researchers with brilliant academic background from reputed academic institutions pursuing Studies/Research in Public Policy/Economics/Law/Finance/Management.

Duration: The duration of the internship will be for maximum period of 1 month for Summer Internship Programme (20th June-20th July) during the year 2022-23.

Certificate of Internship: Certificates will be issued to the interns on satisfactory completion of their internships and on submission of their Report/Paper and its evaluation by the Head of the concerned Division.

Mode of Application:

The candidate will be required to produce a permission letter from their Supervisor/Head of Department, in case he/she is interested to join internship during his/her course-work. Internship at CCI:

Internship is a fulltime programme and hence interns are required to observe working hours of the Commission. Any absence during working hours may result in extension of the period of internship without any honorarium. The internship may be discontinued any time without payment of any honorarium if the performance of the intern is not found satisfactory or the intern is absent without authorization of the guide.

Certification: Certificates will be issued to the interns on successful completion of their internship.

HONORARIUM: An amount of Rs.15,000/- per month will be given as honorarium during the internship.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:

(i) Applicable to Indian Nationals only.

Internship at Centre for Trade and Investment Law:

The Centre for Trade and Investment Law offers internship opportunities to undergraduate and postgraduate students of Law to enable them to gain practical experience in international trade and investment law issues. Internship opportunities are open to students who are in the advanced stages of their degree programme. CBR Indian Institute of Sciences Internship 2023:

CBR is pleased to launch CBRAIN internships, a summer internship program intended to enable the excitement and liveliness of the research and innovation ecosystem in CBR to be shared by bright, motivated, aspiring students.

Eligibility:

  • Should be in the pre-final or final year of their Master’s (M.Sc/M.E/M.Tech) or 4-year Bachelor’s degree course (B.E/B.Tech) in India in any area of Life Sciences/Biotechnology or in streams (such as Computer Science, EECS, Data Science, Mathematics, and Statistics) that are relevant to the research projects at CBR.

Internship at Ministry of External Affairs:

Ministry of External Affairs is launching the second edition of the MEA Internships Programme for the year 2023-24. The second edition of the programme is aimed towards continuing the aim of the Ministry to bring in more focus on MEA; to provide value to the interns; to ensure better gender inclusivity and to increase diversity in terms of qualifications, domicile and socio-economic status amongst the cohort of interns engaged by the Ministry.

RBI is offering Research Internship scheme provides an opportunity to young individuals to expose themselves to cutting edge research in central banking. It best suits individuals who have been in college relatively recently and wish to move on to pursue Ph.D. in Economics, Banking, Finance or related fields, or to positions in government research institutions, or financial institutions that require a quantitative and analytic orientation.

Eligibility:

  • DSIM: Post Graduate in Statistics/Econometrics/Economics or B.E./B.Tech. (Computer) or MBA (Finance).
  • DEPR: Post Graduate in Economics/Banking/Finance or MBA (Finance).

Internship at National Institute of Public Cooperation & Child Development:

Internship at PRS Legislative:

The internship varies from session to non-session time. During a Parliament session, PRS’s work is guided by the issues taken up in Parliament and interns are expected to work with the analysts on various research projects. They may also work with the outreach team to help with the media related output.  During non-session periods, the interests of the individual intern are taken into consideration, and he/she is matched with an analyst(s) or outreach team member doing related work.  

The successful completion of a PRS internship requires the intern to pursue and complete an internship project. The intern will be assisting analysts/outreach team member in their work, as well as undertaking an internship project.

The duration of the internship is flexible, but is normally between four and eight weeks. Interns are expected to report to office for the internship.

Design Interns: Basic understanding of design principles and familiarity with visualising data and text. Prior experience working with Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, or similar software will be a plus.

MUKHYAMANTRI YUVA INTERNSHIP SCHEME:

The Madhya Pradesh government has started the Mukhyamantri Yuva Internship Scheme with the intention of providing employment to the youth and making them skilled. Through this scheme, the youth will get a chance to become Chief Minister’s public service friend. For this, Rs 8,000 per month will be given as stipend.

The internship programme is offered to students of Graduate and Under Graduate levels who are enrolled as a student in any institution and who wish to do research on the collection, learn about museum practices and acquire professional skills. These are unpaid internships and require a minimum commitment of 6 weeks and maximum of 12 weeks.

Winter Internship: The programme offers internships in the winter months of December, January and February.

An internship is an opportunity for a student to secure first hand and practical work experience under the guidance of a qualified and experienced Supervisor/Mentor. It also aims at active participation in the learning process through experimentation and putting into practice the knowledge acquired in the classrooms. Internship at RBI (Reserve Bank of India):

Objective:

Research Internship scheme provides an opportunity to young individuals to expose themselves to cutting edge research in central banking. It best suits individuals who have been in college relatively recently and wish to move on to pursue Ph.D in Economics, Banking, Finance or related fields, or to positions in government research institutions, or financial institutions that require a quantitative and analytic orientation.

Role Description:

The Intern:

  • Will assist and collaborate with RBI researchers on projects to provide policy inputs and papers targeted for publication at quality economics and finance journals.
  • Will assist in compiling accurate and timely data and assist with the relevant analytical, statistical and econometric tools necessary to execute the research projects.
  • May transition to writing research and policy articles of good quality.

Placement:

Placements would be in three departments of RBI namely Department of Economic and Policy Research (DEPR)/Department of Statistics and Information Management (DSIM)/Strategic Research Unit (SRU). The details of these departments are mentioned in this document under Method of Selection.

Qualification:

  • For DSIM- Post Graduate in Statistics/Econometrics/Economics or BE/B.Tech (Computer) or MBA (Finance).
  • For DEPR- Post Graduate in Economics, Banking, Finance or MBA (Finance).
  • For SRU- B.Tech or B.E. or Post Graduate with quantitative- oriented degrees in Economics, Finance, or Statistical Science or those with expertise in Computer or Data Analytics. Programming skills or ability to acquire them are necessary.
  • The opportunity will be open to domestic as well as foreign students.
  • Strong motivation is critical. Our work environment will give candidates many opportunities to learn and participate in research. Candidates should be keenly interested in our core areas of research and also be able to derive benefit from our work in these areas.

Work Experience: Not a pre-requisite.

Duration:

The internship will be for a period of 6 months extendable for another 6 months based on the needs of the unit and the performance of the intern. The National Commission for Women has been set up as a statutory body in terms of the National Commission for Women Act, 1990 (Act No. 20 of 1990) to further review the Constitutional and Legal safeguards available to women, recommend remedial measures to remove impediments in realizing such goals, facilitate redressal of grievances and advise the Government on all policy matters affecting women. MANAGE Internship for PhD or Post Graduates of Agricultural Extension and related Social Sciences are a Two (2) months experiential learning programme to integrate knowledge and theory of agricultural extension management with practical application and skill development in a professional setting.

National Institute of Social Defence (NISD) Internship Scheme seeks to engage students pursuing Graduate/Post Graduate Degrees or Research Scholars enrolled in Recognized University/Institution within India as “interns”. These ‘interns” shall be given exposure to various Divisions within NISD.

About the Job:

Final year B.Tech/M. Tech Civil Engineering students of IITs, NITs and Govt. Engineering Colleges shall be provided internships in highway projects/stand-alone projects involving innovative bridges, tunnels & viaducts/elevated sections having lengths more than 2000 m, expressways and partially access-controlled highways where the cost of entire corridor projects is more than Rs. 2500 crores are being implemented through different implementing agencies.

Duration:

The period of internship shall be a minimum of 3 months out of which a minimum of 12 weeks will be assigned to the contractor and consultant of a particular highway project. The interns will be made to learn through work.

Other Details:

A committee comprising DG (RD) & SS, Member project NHAI and ED, NHIDCL will identify the projects for providing internships. In order to attract civil engineering students to internships in NH projects, a separate Tab shall be created on MoRTH, NHAI, NHIDCL and BRO websites.
Similarly, AICTE will be requested to create a separate tab on their website, a student has to apply online on the MoRTH portal for an internship. A student must have secured CGPA 7.0 in the completed semesters for which the result has been published to be eligible for an internship in NH projects. The candidates applying for internships in the NH project will be selected by the committee. The committee will alert the applicants to different NH projects under implementing agency of the Ministry.

Details about vacanciesEfforts are being made to provide internships to around 100 B.Tech/M.Tech students (NHAI-60 nos., State PWD-25 nos. & NHIDCL-15 nos.) every year. The numbers will be reviewed one year after the commencement of the internship program.

While doing internship in NITI Aayog, the candidate should have a minimum ol 75% attendance and they have to mark In and out time on daily basis. In case of less than 75% attendance no extension of internship period is allowed and no experience certilicate will be issued. The attendance record ald the details of work supervision shall be maintained by the Heads of the Verticals/ Divisions/Units and OSDs/ Senior Consultants/Consultants.

Duration: The period of Internship should be at least six weeks but not exceeding six months. Interns not completing the requisite period will not be issued any certificate.
