GuruJal is an integrated water management initiative, which aims to address the issues of water scarcity, groundwater depletion, flooding and stagnation in the Gurugram District of Haryana. They aim to collaborate with the different stakeholders of the district like corporates, civil society, and research organizations to address the issue using the systems thinking approaches.

The internship program offers a wide range of opportunities for graduate and post-graduate students to gain insight in the technical and administrative program of GuruJal while enriching their knowledge and experience in the water management field. They strongly encourage interns to our work as a collective & believe it is the best way to cater to environmental issues like water conservation and mismanagement .

Following are the position for the internships :

● Biodiversity Planning Intern
● Media and Communication Intern
● Graphic Designer Intern
● Content writer Intern
● Research and Development- Policy Intern
● Research and Development- Technical Intern

1. Biodiversity Planning Intern:

Qualification: Masters in Botany/ Environmental Science
Skill Required:
- Knowledge of plantation technique
- Field survey experience
- Taxonomy knowledge
- Good data analytical knowledge
- Research based documentation
  **Prior field experience in gardening, herbarium or forest survey will get prior preference

2. Media and Communication Intern:

Qualification: B.A. in Media & Communication
Skills Required:
- Creative and innovative thinker
- Good Communication skills
- Report writing, presentation and communication skills
- Good Content writing skills
- Campaign designing and creative ideas
  **Wildlife photography skill will add value to the profile

3. Graphic Designer Intern:

Qualification: B.A. in Media & Communication
Skills Required:
- Creative and innovative thinker
- Good Communication skills
- Report writing, presentation and communication skills
- Good Content writing skills
- Campaign designing and creative ideas
  **Wildlife photography skill will add value to the profile

4. Content Writer Intern:

Qualification: B.A. in Media & Communication

- Excellent analytical skills and pattern detection skills
- Report-writing/Scientific Writing Skills
  ** Prior experience working in a governmental setup would be given preference

6. Research and Development – Technical Intern:

Qualification: Masters in Chemistry/Biology/Environmental Science
Skills Required:
- Thorough knowledge of laboratory techniques for determination of water quality
- Excellent Research and Documentation Skills
- Knowledge of Wastewater/Water Treatment Technologies
- Excellent analytical skills and pattern detection skills
- Report-writing/Scientific Writing Skills
  ** Prior publications and laboratory work with application made would be given preference
