About the Ministry of Women and Child Development:
The Ministry of Women and Child Development, Government of India, came into existence as a separate Ministry with effect from 30th January 2006.
The Ministry was constituted with the prime intention of addressing gaps in State action for women and children to promote inter-Ministerial and inter-sectoral convergence to create gender-equitable and child-centred legislation, policies and programs.
Eligibility:
- Women students, scholars, social activists and teachers from non-tier-I cities and rural parts of India will be eligible for the program.
- The women students, scholars, social activists, and teachers (hereinafter referred to as interns)need to be enrolled in/associated with any university/academic/non-academic institution.
- Age Limit: 21 years to 40 years
Duration:
- Internship Programme for next two batches of two months’ duration [15.05.2023 -14.07.2023 & 05.06.2023- 04.08.2023].
- Interns can select any one of the two durations while submitting their applications.
Number of Interns: Ministry would take up to 10 interns per batch.
Stipend:
Selected interns would be granted a lump sum stipend of Rs. 20,000/- per month and reimbursement of travel cost (By Deluxe/AC Bus/3 Tier AC Train) of the journey for joining the programme in the Ministry and return at the end of the internship.
