Ministry of Home Affairs Internship 2026 at Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Centre (I4C) | Apply Before 31st October 2026
The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has launched the Winter Internship Programme 2026 at the Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Centre (I4C). This is an excellent opportunity for students to gain real-world experience in the field of cybercrime investigation, cybersecurity, and digital safety.
Through this internship, students can actively contribute to India’s mission of creating a safer and more secure digital ecosystem.
About the Internship
The I4C Internship Programme offers students hands-on exposure to various aspects of cybercrime prevention, cybersecurity operations, and digital forensics. It’s designed to help young talent understand how national cybercrime systems work and how technology is used to protect digital infrastructure.
This internship is open for the Winter 2026 session (October – March).
Eligibility Criteria
Students who are currently pursuing Undergraduate (UG), Postgraduate (PG), or Ph.D. degrees in the following disciplines are eligible to apply:
- Information Technology
- Computer Science / Computer Engineering
- Electrical & Electronic Communication Engineering
- Cyber Security / Information Security / Cyber Forensics
- Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning / Data Analytics
- Blockchain Technology
- Ethical Hacking / Dark Web Analysis
- Software Development / API / Automation
- Malware Analysis / Reverse Engineering
- Content Creation
- Law (LLB / LLM)
- Criminology / Sociology
- Journalism / Mass Communication / Digital Media / Video Editing / Graphic Design
- Event Management / PR / Communication Studies
- BBA / MBA (Data Analytics)
- Any other area related to cyberspace, technology, or cybercrime
🏫 Institution Requirement:
Applicants must belong to:
- Top 200 Engineering Institutes (as per NIRF 2026)
- Top 30 Law Institutes/Universities
- 165 Institutes of National Importance
Internship Details

Internship with State/UT Cyber Police
Students can also choose to work with State/UT Cyber Crime Police Departments.
These internships are also unpaid and do not include accommodation facilities, but participants will still receive a Certificate from I4C after completing their internship successfully.
