Kaggle has launched tenth annual March Machine Learning Mania competition, Kagglers will once again join the millions of fans who attempt to predict the outcomes of this year’s NCAA college basketball tournaments. Unlike most fans, you will pick the winners and losers using a combination of rich historical data and computing power, while the ground truth unfolds on television.
What is the new update ?
They have made an update to the competition format this year. You will be making bracket predictions for both tournaments, similar to traditional tournament contests. But you will be allowed to submit an entire portfolio of brackets, anywhere from 1 to 100,000.
Timeline
February 27, 2024 – Start Date
- March 21, 2024 4PM UTC – Final Submission Deadline. Note that Kaggle will release updated data at least once in advance of the deadline in order to include as much of the current season’s data as possible.
- March 21 – April 8 – Watch your tournament results play out! Kaggle will refresh the leaderboard throughout the tournaments.
- April 10, 2024 – Competition results expected to be finalized.
The organizers reserve the right to update the contest timeline if they deem it necessary.
