About Internship :
Indian Institute of Remote Sensing (IIRS), ISRO carries out research in frontier areas of Remote Sensing and Geoinformatics as an integral part of its objective of providing education at Postgraduate level it also provides opportunities to bright external students at Postgraduate/ Undergraduate levels from different Universities/ Institutes/ Colleges across the country for carrying out dissertation/ summer training.
Eligibility :
IIRS will facilitate students pursuing B.Tech./ B.E./ B.Sc.(Engg.)/ M.Sc./ M.Sc. (Tech.)/ M.E./M.Tech/ MCA for carrying out research project
Duration :
The minimum duration of research project at IIRS campus is Three months and the maximum duration is One year.
How to Apply ?
Applications for attachment of Postgraduate/ Undergraduate students should be sent through the Training and Placement Officer/ Dean/ Registrar of the respective Universities/ Institutes/Colleges with full CV of the student(s). Direct applications from external students are not accepted. Also, direct applications to IIRS faculty are not accepted.
Selection Procedure :
The selection of candidates will be based on academic merit, their suitability in the ongoing research/ operational programmes of IIRS, availability of appropriate supervisors, etc. The candidates should have a minimum of 65% marks in the qualifying examination (cumulative until last semester) and should have studied mathematics up to 12th standard. Candidates having knowledge in Remote Sensing and GIS, and computer programming will be preferred.
Award of Recognition :
After the successful completion of the Project/ Summer Internship and submission of thesis/dissertation, the students will request for No Dues certificate from concerned HoD. The students later will receive a certificate of completion from HoD or GH or Dean.
