About PM Internship Scheme :
PM Internship Scheme is a remarkable initiative launched by the Indian government, designed to provide valuable internship opportunities for the youth of India. - Massive response with 6.2 lakh applications during the registration window, which closed on November 15, 2024.
This initiative is part of the Modi government’s ₹2 lakh crore allocation announced in the Union Budget 2024 for job creation and skill development over the next five years.
Who Can Apply for PMIS?
The Prime Minister Internship Scheme focuses on empowering youth aged 21-24 years, offering internships to candidates from diverse educational backgrounds.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Passed 10th, 12th, ITI, Polytechnic, or Diploma courses.
- Fresh graduates from non-premier institutions.
Note: Students from IITs, IIMs, National Law Universities, and individuals with professional degrees like CA, MBA, MBBS, etc., are excluded to promote inclusivity for underrepresented groups.
The Prime Minister Internship Scheme is not just about internships; it is a movement to empower young individuals through structured learning and financial aid.
Financial Benefits:
- A monthly stipend of ₹5,000.
- A one-time grant of ₹6,000 for all selected candidates.
To apply for PMIS benefits, candidates must possess an Aadhaar card or undergo Aadhaar authentication.
