An internship at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory is a chance to do the impossible. The internships put you right in the action with the scientists and engineers who’ve helped make JPL the leading center for robotic exploration of the solar system. The programs are as varied as the places we explore, with opportunities across the STEM spectrum for undergrads, graduate students, postdocs and faculty. Join them and do something out of this world.
As coronavirus restrictions at JPL are being reduced, the laboratory is now offering both on-site and remote internship opportunities starting in summer 2022. However, on-site summer internship will be contingent on public health protocols and potential JPL access restrictions. Types of Internships :
There are two kinds of interships available at NASA. The first one takes in US citizens; the second type of intership in offered to student from selected countries by NASA . These interships are highly competitive and are being offered to take up it one of many NASA field countries this interns will be able to walk under the mentorship of NASA researchers . These interships offer three times year spring ,summer and autumn .
NASA Internship stipend :
There is a monthly stipend available to most of the interns working at NASA. The amount of the stipend depends upon the length the intership and the qualification of the intern .With that,the interns may be offered nice accommodation and other benefits during their NASA missions . Interns who are relocating from another city , state , or country will have to manage their own housing and its expenses , though some assistance in the form of providing a list of housing option will be provided by NASA.

Elligibility :
Applicants must have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0 out of 4.0 . They should be enrolled in a full time program pursuing an under or postgraduate degree and should not be less then 16 years in age at the time of application.
Interns must be US citizens for the local internships. The international interships are available to students from Australia , Canada , Brazil , Europe , Zordan , Israel , Lithuania, United Arab Emirates , Sweden , Tobago, Trinidad , Portugal ,South Korea, New Zealand , Norway , and Mexico .
Duration and Internship Types :
The fall internships : These interships start by the end of August and go on until the mid of December . The total duration of these internships is 16 weeks .
The spring internships : These internship start by the mid of January and go on until early March . Like fall internships , these are also spread over 16 weeks .

The summar internships : These internships start at the end of May and end in August. These are usually for 10 weeks .
