Applications Open for Project Based Internship at Indian Institute of Remote Sensing

About IIRS :

The Indian Institute of Remote Sensing (IIRS), situated in Dehradun, stands as a cornerstone institution within the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), championing the advancement of remote sensing technology. Recognized as a premier institute, IIRS is dedicated to expanding the horizons of knowledge and applications in remote sensing.
With a focus on specialized training, cutting-edge research, and comprehensive education, IIRS plays a pivotal role in bolstering India’s prowess in space and Earth observation capabilities. Its contributions are instrumental in enhancing the nation’s capacity for sustainable development and effective environmental management.

Who can Apply ?

Only Indian Nationals are eligible for internship positions at IIRS.Interns are accepted based on the availability of IIRS faculty to supervise the project work. Factors considered include educational qualifications, subjects, academic record, and project duration.Preferably, students should have a science background with a minimum of 55% in graduation and 60% in post-graduation (till completed semesters).

Duration :

The minimum duration of Internship/ Summer Training/ Project/ Research Work at IIRS is 45 days
and the maximum duration is one year.

Last Date to Apply :

Application may be submitted twice in a year. Last dates for application submission are 31st Oct &
31st March of every calendar year
