About SBI Youth for India Fellowship
The SBI Youth for India Fellowship is an initiative by the SBI Foundation that provides young professionals an opportunity to work with NGOs in rural communities across India. The program focuses on areas like education, healthcare, environment, rural livelihoods, and more.
Eligibility Criteria (2026-27)
To apply for this fellowship, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Must have completed a Bachelor’s degree (or complete it by October 2026)
- Age should be between 21 to 32 years
- Must be a citizen of India, Nepal, Bhutan, or OCI/NR
Stipend & Benefits
Selected fellows receive multiple financial and professional benefits:
- ₹16,000/month (living expenses)
- ₹2,000/month (transport allowance)
- ₹2,000/month (project expenses)
- ₹1,000/month (learning & development)
- ₹1,10,000 readjustment allowance after completion
- Travel expenses covered + insurance
- Mentorship & NGO support
Application Process
The selection process consists of 2 main stages:
Stage 1: Online Application & Assessment
- Registration + basic questions
- Shortlisted candidates submit essays & video
Stage 2: Group Exercise & Interview
- Personal interaction round
- Evaluation based on motivation & skills
Final selection is done on a rolling basis.
Duration of Fellowship
- The fellowship duration is approximately 13 months
- Work will be based in rural areas across India
