Google Hash Code 2021 | Free Google Goodies | Google Certificate | Students Can Also Apply

Google’s team-based programming competition, Hash Code, allows you to share your skills and connect with other coders as you work together to solve a problem modeled off a real Google engineering challenge! In small teams of two to four, coders all over the world will tackle the first problem through an Online Qualification. Though this round is hosted online, teams can come together virtually to compete side-by-side in locally coordinated Hash Code Hubs. The top teams from this round are invited to join us for the virtual World Finals.

Registration opens on Jan 7 2021, 17:00 (UTC) and will remain open until Feb 22 2021, 11:00 (UTC)

Eligibility:

Only Team members who are at least eighteen (18) years old or the age of majority in their country of residence (whichever is greater) (“Age of Majority”) at the time of registration for the HC Contest are eligible to participate in the World Finals. In order for a Team to participate in the World Finals, at least two (2) Team members must meet the minimum age requirement.

Contest Structure:

Due to COVID-19, 2021 Hubs will be fully virtual. The HC Contest consists of two (2) rounds: the qualification round (the “Online Qualification”) and the final round (the “World Finals”). For 2021, both rounds will be conducted online. However, Google reserves the right to change the date, time, location, and structure of any round at its sole discretion.

(A) Online Qualification. The Online Qualification will take place virtually on Thursday, February 25, 2021 from 17:30 UTC until 21:30 UTC. All participants will be notified of the Online Qualification results by Tuesday, March 2, 2021. This date may be postponed by Google (at its sole discretion) by an informational notice on the HC Contest website.

(B) World Finals. The World Finals are scheduled to be held virtually on Saturday, April 24, 2021. During the World Finals, your Team will be asked to solve a challenge using your own computer equipment and materials.

Prize Winners:

Google will notify each Team member about whether they have qualified for any prizes. Notifications will be made during the closing ceremony of the World Finals. All decisions by the Jury regarding prize winners are final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into regarding prizes.
