About Vikram Sarabhai Space Center :

The Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre (VSSC) is one of the primary facilities of the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), focused on the design and development of space vehicles and rockets. Named after Dr. Vikram Sarabhai, the founder of the Indian space program, it is located in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala. Established in the 1960s, VSSC plays a critical role in the development of India’s satellite launch vehicles, including the Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV) and the Geosynchronous Satellite Launch Vehicle (GSLV).

Key functions of VSSC include:

  • Research and development of launch vehicle technology
  • Propulsion, aerodynamics, avionics, and structural analysis for space missions
  • Development of solid, liquid, and cryogenic propulsion systems
  • Collaboration with other centers and organizations for satellite launches

About Internship :

The Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre (VSSC) offers internships to students pursuing degrees in science, engineering, and technology fields. The internships provide hands-on experience in the areas of space technology, satellite launch vehicles, propulsion systems, avionics, and other related fields. These internships offer an opportunity to work alongside experienced scientists and engineers on real-time projects, allowing students to gain valuable insights into space research and technology development.

Elligibility :

  • Eligibility for applying to Internship is an aggregate mark of minimum 60% or CGPA 6.32  on a scale of 10
  • enrolled and pursuing courses as a regular on- campus student and completed the course on or after February 15, 2024 as a regular on- campus student

Duration :

The duration of the Internship will be minimum of 21 days and maximum of 45 days.

Stipend :

No stipend/remuneration/financial assistance will be given by VSSC/ISRO during the period of internship.
