Highlights of the Program:
- Company: Ford
- Duration: 2-3 months
- Compensation: Interns are compensated at a competitive rate for their full-time work.
- Start Date: Anytime
REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS:
Individuals selected for a summer internship are recognized as having top academic standing with exceptional leadership, communication and self-motivation skills, as well as for having a passion for technology and the automotive industry.
Orientation:
During the first week, students report for our new hire welcome/orientation program, where they complete the necessary paperwork to begin their internship and learn more about policy and programs and their organization’s intern program.
Professional Development:
Ford provides students with hands-on, career-specific experience through full-time work. This is a great platform to connect with leadership, collaborate with professionals in many areas of the business and learn more about our Ford College Graduate opportunities available for those close to graduation. Throughout the internship, there are many opportunities to gain insight and exposure to our business that will last a lifetime.
Social Events:
Networking opportunities are key to a successful experience. We work hard to create opportunities for interns to network with each other and Ford employees, including members of our executive leadership team.
Final Presentation:
Students work very hard at completing their work and are generally proud of their accomplishments. Final presentations are required at the end of each internship to allow students an opportunity to demonstrate their achievements.
Post-Program Placement:
Interns who prove themselves as exceptional may be invited back as interns the next year or offered full-time employment into our Ford College Graduate Program or other developmental programs.
